Building Singapore's Creator Community
We train content creators with practical skills and business knowledge to build sustainable careers in the creator economy.
Back to HomeOur Story
Create How started in early 2021 when three working content creators in Singapore noticed a gap. While many wanted to build creator careers, most training focused either on theory without practice or individual platform tactics without business fundamentals. We saw creators struggle not because they lacked talent, but because they needed structured guidance combining creative skills with sustainable business models.
What began as informal workshops at a shared studio space in Somerset quickly grew as word spread through Singapore's creator community. By mid-2021, we had formalized our first structured course on content fundamentals. The response showed us that creators wanted more than tips and tricks—they needed comprehensive training that respected the profession and prepared them for long-term careers.
Today, Create How operates from TripleOne Somerset, offering three core programs that take creators from basic content skills through advanced production techniques to business development and monetization. We maintain small class sizes, employ working creators as instructors, and focus on hands-on learning that produces actual content, not just theory.
Our approach remains grounded in real-world creator experience. Every instructor actively creates content and manages their own creator business. This keeps our curriculum current with platform changes, algorithm updates, and evolving audience expectations. We teach what works now, not what worked years ago.
What Drives Us
Practical Education
We believe in learning by doing. Every course involves creating actual content with feedback from experienced creators. Students leave with portfolios, not just certificates.
Sustainable Growth
We teach sustainable audience building and business development. Quick schemes and empty promises have no place here—we focus on methods that work long-term.
Community First
Creating content can feel isolating. We build connections between students for collaboration, feedback, and mutual support that extends beyond course completion.
Quality Standards
Instructor Requirements
All Create How instructors actively create content and manage their own creator businesses. We require at least two years of consistent content creation across multiple platforms, demonstrated audience engagement, and proven monetization experience. This ensures students learn from people currently succeeding in the field, not theorists teaching outdated information.
Instructors participate in ongoing training to maintain teaching quality and stay current with platform changes. We review course content quarterly and update materials to reflect current best practices, algorithm updates, and emerging opportunities in the creator economy.
Curriculum Development
Our courses balance technical skills with business fundamentals. Content planning, production quality, and audience building receive equal attention alongside monetization strategies, legal considerations, and sustainable workflow management. We avoid platform-specific tricks that become obsolete quickly, focusing instead on principles that apply across channels.
Student feedback shapes curriculum updates. After each course cycle, we review completion rates, project quality, and student assessments to identify areas needing adjustment. This iterative approach keeps our training relevant and effective.
Student Support
Class sizes stay small—maximum 15 students per cohort—so instructors can provide individual attention. Every student receives personalized feedback on their projects and access to our community platform for ongoing support. We maintain open communication channels where students can ask questions between sessions.
Technical assistance extends beyond course hours. Students struggling with software, equipment setup, or platform features can book office hours with instructors or teaching assistants. We want technical barriers removed so students can focus on developing their creative voice and business strategy.
Equipment and Software
Our Somerset studio provides professional equipment for hands-on sessions including cameras, lighting setups, microphones, and editing workstations. Students learn on industry-standard software with licenses provided through educational partnerships. We also teach mobile-first workflows since many creators start with smartphone production.
Equipment recommendations focus on accessible options. While we teach professional techniques, we emphasize that content quality matters more than expensive gear. Students learn to create engaging content with tools they can afford as they build their creator business.
Why Singapore Creators Choose Create How
Singapore's creator economy presents unique opportunities and challenges. Our market combines English-speaking global reach with strong regional Asian connections, sophisticated audiences who expect high production quality, and diverse monetization pathways through both Western and Asian platforms. Understanding this context shapes how we teach content creation.
We address practical realities Singapore creators face. How do you balance content creation with full-time employment during the building phase? What legal structures work for creator businesses here? Which platforms offer best opportunities for Singapore-based creators? How do you handle taxes on creator income? These questions get answered through our courses and community.
Our location in central Singapore makes us accessible via public transport. Students commute from across the island for in-person sessions. For those unable to attend physically, our hybrid model allows full online participation without missing core instruction. Recorded sessions and resources remain available for review after courses end.
The creator community we've built extends beyond course participants. Alumni maintain connections through our community platform, collaborate on projects, refer brands to each other, and support newer creators. This network becomes valuable as students develop their careers—content creation works better as a connected community than isolated individuals.
We keep improving based on what we learn from students. When participants identify gaps in coverage, we develop materials to address them. When new opportunities emerge in the creator economy, we update our curriculum to prepare students. When platform algorithms change significantly, we adjust our teaching. This responsive approach keeps Create How relevant as the creator landscape evolves.
